Day Fifteen

Today was an interesting, it began with the Assistant Secretary of State discussing with us how to form a business.  Jeremy explained to us how to use the state website  to find trends when deciding to open a business.  The state website is sos.ms.gov.

 We then worked on our art projects and Weebly websites for the rest of the day.

Today we had a great time again today.  We started the day off learning how to write grants, and some great place to look for resources.   Helpful websites: ms-meca.org nea.org/grants teach.com (grants for teachers) I actually have a project on donors choose: Get Piggy With It The second part of the day was spent learning about coding - code.org.  We learned different ways to implement in all curriculum.  We learned that we all have our own bias about coding, and that we must change our mindset when it comes to coding.  In order to do this, we begin teaching children about it at an early age. Day Seventeen

We began the morning learning how to use Infographics.  The first site that we visited was piktochart.com.  Here's what I came up with using the information provided by Dr. Lee Piktochart At the end of the day, we went to the Giles computer lab and learn how to create a Prezi slideshow.  Due to technical difficulties, Ms. Agnew, indicated that she would upload a tutorial video. We also worked with Adobe Spark again but this time we used video. Here's a look at what I did.

Day Seven

Today began with us creating a geological timeline.  I thought this was rather interesting to see how much of Earth's history has just been developed in the last 65 million years, and that the history from 65 million years ago to 4,600,000,000 billion years is so sparse.  I believe that can be incorporated in the Science classroom when we do the history of the atom as well as the cell. Then we began discussing the weather, and then actually creating our own weather PowerPoint.  I enjoyed this; however, I think that we did it in reverse order. If had created our own PPT prior to yesterday's visit we could have presented our own weather report while in the green room. After lunch, we worked on our Art Projects.  We laid down the foundation pieces by doing the watercolors.  We also printed our images in preparation for drawing and cutting out the template on tomorrow.
